The No. 10 Iowa softball team posted a 2-0 upset win over No. 2-seeded Minnesota in the quarterfinal round of the Big Ten Tournament.
Minnesota, ranked 12th in the recent USA Today poll, allowed the Hawkeyes to score twice in the third inning for the only runs of the game.
Shayla Starkenburg pitched a complete game, allowing only 2 hits. She walked just two batters while picking up four strikeouts.
Iowa will play No. 3 seed Nebraska on May 2 at 5 p.m. (CDT) on the Big Ten Network.
