The Washington Redskins selected former Iowa offensive lineman Brandon Scherff with the No. 5 pick in the NFL Draft Thursday night.

The now-former Hawkeye offensive tackle was taken by the Washington Redskins at No. 5 overall Thursday night, making him the highest-picked Iowa player since Robert Gallery went No. 2 overall in the 2004 NFL Draft.
