Field hockey players poke good-natured fun at Steph Norlander

Steph Norlander had a pretty good week, all things considered.

Five goals in two games by the sophomore helped lift the Iowa field hockey team to a pair of victories over Indiana and Missouri State, pushing the Hawkeyes to a 7-2 record and a No. 7 ranking in the latest NFHCA rankings.

Oh yeah, she was also awarded Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors for her efforts.

That said, it hasn’t been all glorious for the North Vancouver, British Columbia native.

A few of Norlander’s teammates took to Twitter to poke good-natured fun at a few unfortunate photos of Norlander from this weekend’s action.

Natalie Cafone started things off, tweeting out this shot.

Cafone wasn’t done having fun with her line mate yet.

Troll so hard.

Adding fuel to the fire was junior Liz Leh, who actually made the unfortunately timed shot her Twitter avatar.

Norlander took everything in stride, but there’s something for sure. The Iowa field hockey team can be a tough crowd.
