The Iowa women competed in South Bend, Indiana Friday against 26 other teams in the Gold division, running in the 5,000-meter race. Iowa finished seventh overall with a team score of 211. The Iowa women’s cross-country runners proved themselves on the course Sept. 12 at Illinois State. Thirteen Hawkeyes competed to earn a second-place team finish while eight of them were sophomores.
